Five Finds Friday (four.)

FUNNY

Looking forward to the delicious treats that are being prepped for Thanksgiving, Otto had a unique (and admittedly a tiny bit bizarre) response.

When he saw a tray full of homemade peppermint patties, he exclaimed, “That makes me so happy I’m going to toot!”

FASHIONABLE

I mean, I don’t want to just keep endlessly talking about all the fashion over at Noonday so I’ll spread the love around.

About ten or twelve years ago I purchased a lot of my clothing (and clothing for children) from Old Navy.  And then their style, for kids in particular, got kind of weird and I stopped purchasing primarily from them for a while.

But they’re coming back around for me and I just love this little dress.

It’s simple and comfortable and I think it looks great paired with leggings and boots and a sweater.

FLAVORFUL

We are staring straight down at the Holiday When We Eat Too Much so the choices here are endless.

But I am just going to go local and made by someone else’s hands here and say – have you ever tried the peanut butter cup ice cream at Travelers Rest’s own Sidewall Pizza?

I mean, everything they serve is The Best, but this ice cream?  Oh man.  I want it right this very instant.

High five, Sidewall friends.  We love everything about you guys.

FAITHFUL

I love when God provides good answers and kind gifts and encouragers who lift your arms  for you when your strength is fading.

But it’s also alright to have those other days too – when you have to mouth the words over and over again in your own heart …… And if not, He is still good.

 FEELS

Today the feels are all going to my grown up girl.

It was a rough morning, friends.

A morning when being the only adult in the home was a weight heavy and annoying and just, quite frankly, incredibly inconvenient.

The why I needed help is a long story not altogether worth conveying, but the point is this:

My grown up kid got up early, rearranged her schedule and her day and all of her plans and she packed up her own little man and she drove over to my house and she took care of her younger siblings.

She helped with chores and school work and a little outdoor stroll/mail checking/trash can collecting with the cutest ten-year-old uncle you’ve ever seen.

And she didn’t complain when my unfortunate outing took even longer than expected.

For all of that – I am so grateful.

Thanks for letting me know — I haven’t gotten much feedback on them honestly so I wasn’t sure. I’ve actually had so much fun doing them!
