Before I Go To Sleep. Before You Go To Sleep. Some Stuff To Tell You.

You guys.

Wednesdays are our family’s busiest days.

I don’t have any big words for today.

I’m pretty exhausted and the kids and I made oatmeal cream pies yesterday for tonight’s group dinner’s dessert and I really just want to go sit in the best chair in our living room and quietly eat one of those remaining delicacies in the incredibly lovely silence that is our home currently.

And that’s just what I plan to do.

Right after this.

It’s not earth shattering news.

But I think you should know.

Ever since that mascara post last spring I have been slowly trying out your suggestions.

And I do mean slowly.

I decided to just follow the order of the comments and basically try whatever everyone said.

I started with the green tube of CoverGirl whatever-it’s-called, easily available, regularly-priced mascara.

And it’s been fine.  Non waterproof variety.  It’s held up nicely.  Sometimes looks clumpy but mostly more than adequate and met my needs.

Great.

Well.  I am trying to heed the new advice offered to me (thank you very much Tiffany) that mascara should be replaced every three months.  (Trying to heed it, I tell you.)

So — next on the list was the mascara my beautiful friend Marion recommended.

The intriguing but also sort of bizarre sounding mascara that claims to encapsulate each eyelash in a tiny tube instead of coat it.

I visited the website.

$25.

I am all for the game here of working my way through – but I just didn’t feel like laying down $25.

I waited a few weeks.

And, lo and behold, I found the Blinc brand available at my friendly online Amazon retailer.

$14.39.

On Prime no less.

I figured it was a sign and I ordered it.

It arrived a few days ago.

This morning I took a few moments to encapsulate my eyelashes in whatever this mascara of the future is.  (Don’t tell me the science.  I prefer oblivion.  Thanks.)

Guys.

It was so fun.

Yep.  Fun.

It wasn’t smudgy and it wasn’t weird and it feels clean and it looks crisp and I think I love it.

And – at that price – maybe you should go try it too.

Trust me – no one anywhere is paying me anything to say this stuff.

I just thought it was such a surprising deal that I delayed my oatmeal cream pie eating, best living room chair sitting moment to bring you this tiny bit of information.

That’s it.

That’s all.

Good night everyone!

Good night!
