HomeLife

a couple weekend notes and THE CONTEST WINNER (!)

This weekend the dryer broke.

There was a load of mostly beach towels in it.

They smell so bad right now.

I also decided to rearrange the kids’ bedrooms.  And by rearrange the kids’ bedrooms I mean ….. move the giant heavy wooden bunkbeds to another room, relocate the girls beds to entirely new spots, drag every old bed frame to the front lawn, move desks upstairs from downstairs, put every single bedroom item into the hall, completely change out the school room, visit IKEA and deep clean random closets, shelves and drawers.  One thing always leads to another, you know what I mean?

I’ve got another weekend story that I’ll save for later this week and maybe if I EVER get ALL THE THINGS back into their homes, I’ll share a photo of the upheaval change.

But all that has to wait you guys.

Because last week I had a giveaway to the Asheville Treetops Adventure Park and today I said I would tell you who won!

Which is what I am about to do.

Thank you all so much for liking and commenting and sharing.  I had a fabulous response from you all and that makes me happy.

I had Piper choose he winner at random – through an intricate design of numbers and written down names and whatnot.  (Yeah, I know everyone uses some random number generator these days.  Not me – I write the entries down and have my kids draw a number and that’s how you win.)

And the winner is MELISSA!

Congrats Melissa — I truly think you will have an incredible time.  But I am so curious – which of your kids is going to be the the lucky one to get to climb high and be bold and daring?

(By the way, Melissa — send me your email and address and I will send it on to the good people at the Adventure Center!)

Thanks for entering, everybody!

We had to buy a new dryer Saturday. Ours died last Sunday mid-load; thankfully it was sunny until Thursday and I could hang clothes to dry. But until we get the new dryer tomorrow, we will be doing today’s school at the laundromat. Ugh.

We are right there with you in the upheaval. New flooring in two bathrooms and the laundry room last week and new carpet in 3 bedrooms and the bonus this week. So much stuff everywhere. Our master bedroom feels like we are sleeping in the attic!
