Chaos,  HomeLife,  Story

Monday Night

It’s surreal how one weekend can change your life.

How one afternoon all that you think is true can be swept away in a singular collosal wave and you find yourself stranded on an unfamiliar shore.

More than one month has passed since what was Unthinkable has become what is Every Day.

Crisis is a confusing beast.

It makes time stand still

and somehow

at the same but the opposite rate

it makes time evaporate.

Basically,

it shoves your agenda into the trash and brings lots of life into painful clarity.

Sending love your way. You are being prayed for and lifted up to Jesus–our only salvation. Time has passed, but you are still as dear to me as ever. If you ever need to talk, call (262-748-5589) or e-mail. Love, love, love to you and yours!

Lacey, You and your family are in my prayers.

Numbers 6:24-26 New International Version (NIV)
    24 “‘“The Lord bless you
    and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
    and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
    and give you peace.”’

    Change

    From EveryDay
    to
    Crisis

    Begins with
    Pure
    Panic

    chaos crashings churning
    unreal
    unfathomable
    un-everything with sense

    Then

    Pain
    Heart-rending
    Unrelenting

    And

    Terror
    Irrational
    Unceasing

    And

    Fury
    Insane
    Unbridled

    And

    Time
    Loses
    All
    Meaning

    Only the constant
    Rolling
    Of day and night
    And
    Night and day
    And
    People Words Ideas Noise
    Thoughts Silence Darkness

    And all of life’s
    Important Things
    Lose meaning

    And all of life’s
    Most Precious Things
    Give way

    To
    This
    All-Encompassing
    Dread

    The only Rock
    The only Safe
    The only Firm
    Foundation Place

    is

    Jesus

    Psalm 18:2
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

    You are always loved.
