Plus-Plus: One of our Favorites from Timberdoodle

This is a sponsored post. I received this item from Timberdoodle in exchange for an honest review. These thoughts and these words and these opinions are, as always on this page and in real and regular life, all completely and totally my own.

I guess I gave this one away with the title.

But, to me, Plus-Plus is a lot like Legos – what on earth is there not to love?

And in our house – we LOVE Plus-Plus.

They’re just so versatile and fun. They are the nearly perfect occupation for playing quietly while listening to our nightly novel. Much quieter than Legos. Any age can be entertained by their shapes and configurations, even if it’s just to spell out your own name or your favorite band in bright colors.

This month we tried the Plus-Plus Excursion.

(You can find it here on the Timberdoodle website.)

I know this one says it’s included in the First Grade kit – (right here) and I’m sure a younger kid would enjoy this too. What’s so wonderful about these pieces is how they really are adapted for all ages – and they are something that caters to multiple ages and varied skill sets. How perfect is that for homeschool in our real worlds and at our kitchen tables?

I don’t have any first-graders any longer, although my grandson is in first grade and when he and his younger brother come over to play, they adore the Plus-Plus as well. (They play them at the table so their younger toddler sister cannot join the fun.)

Plus-Plus Excursion is really cool. It’s not a set up and never want to build it again sort of creation. This one actually creates a car with working wheels, a trailer, a pirate’s chest, a palm tree, a goldfish and whatever else you can imagine.

And that’s not all!

Seriously. This kit is gigantic. (They make smaller tubes of Plus-Plus that make the ideal stocking stuffer.)

The instructions included are full of creative ideas for your younger kids – stacking games and matching games and alphabet games. It’s really endless and so multi-purposed. There is an entire feature of maps around the world.

You really do want the bigger sized boxes though and the helpful ideas in the instructions. It’s amazing to have the multiple colors and extra plus-plus pieces for creations.

This is one of those educational AND fun toys that I plan to keep around forever.
