The Interview: London Eli Scout

Camping cutie.

London – I used to do these interviews when you were tiny.  They were hilarious.  I still think you’re a pretty funny kid.  Do you think you are funny?

A little bit.

What kinds of things make you laugh now?

Friend jokes.  Jokes that friends make – or our family.  Just jokes.

How do you like to spend your free time?

Drawing.  And playing Calico Critters and Legos.

You haven’t had a hair cut in more than a year I think.  What’s your plan there?

To grow it very very very very long.

Why is that?

Because I really like long hair.  I’d like to look like an elf.

Elf Cutie

Is Lord of the Rings still your favorite book series?

Yes.

Do you think it always will be?

Um.  Maybe.  There are a lot of books I still want to read – like To Kill A Mockingbird.

That’s where your middle name Scout came from.  What do you think of that name?

I really like it.

Do you wish we called you Scout all the time?

Yes – sometimes.

With Daddy Cutie.

Done.  No problem.  Alright.  Uh – how’s the scone business going?

Great.

What is harder about it than you thought it would be?

Having to make so many in one day when I really just want to play.   (Hey – that rhymes.)

Do you ever think of branching into any other baked goods?

Sometimes.  Maybe cakes.

Which do you think is more enjoyable – baking or cooking?

Baking.  You get to have sweet things.

With Mommy Cutie

Sweet is your favorite I know.  I think you’re sweet!  And now it’s time for bed!

Please – not yet Mom.

Why not?

Because I still have more to do.

Okay.
