Colorku: A Timberdoodle Review

This is a sponsored post. I received this item from Timberdoodle in exchange for an honest review. These thoughts and words and opinions are, as always on this page and in real and regular life, all completely and totally my own.

Oh goodness – this is a pretty one.

And I know that isn’t the goal of this game or product or educational tool. (I don’t exactly know how to categorize this one.) But I’m also saying – it’s so cute.

The colors are beautiful. Just look at it.

It’s called Colorku. I keep wanting to call it Color Sudoku because that’s what it basically is.

If you’ve ever played Sudoku – that game with the numbers – this is the exact same, but with colors.

It comes with cards to set the board up and it also comes with answers for if you get stuck. (Which I definitely have been. The colors are more challenging to my brain than the numbers are.)

It even comes with directions for turning any numbers version of Sudoku into a color version.

This is a great thinking, processing, analyzing, maneuvering game. And it’s good for every age. You can choose a harder set up or a simpler set up. Supposedly playing these sort of games routinely keeps your mind sharp – and helps fight against dementia. (I should play every day – right?)

I’m leaving it out on the coffee table just because I can. It’s drawing the big kids in and they’re messing with it and working the puzzle without even thinking about if they are learning or not.

(I do put it away when the grandkids come over because it is too attractive to them and I would like to keep these tiny pieces all in one place.)

You can order your own here at Timberdoodle.
