Product Review

The Pink Drink, Plexus and Peddling Your Wares

If Facebook has taught us anything it’s that there are about one hundred and thirty two bazillion ways that people try to start their own businesses and promote their own products.

And that there are approximately eighty two gazillion products that we can try to get fit, stay slim, reverse aging, feel younger, look younger, turn back the clock, be our best self, survive on almonds only.  You get the idea.

I don’t know if you’ll believe this or not, but I’m a skeptic.

More of cynic than a quick-to-believe what I hear and what I read.

But I am currently also a person trying to make a living through the peddling of my own wares, so to speak.

My wares happen to be less tangible and not exactly something you can hold in your hand or apply to your under eye wrinkles or mix up in a shake or curb your sweet tooth.

I just have these words, you know.

So sometimes I like to partner with people who have actual products to sell and be their guinea pig or their promoter or their reviewer or their megaphone, whatever may suit the situation.

My favorite avenue of partnership lies in writing reviews of cool places I already want to visit with my children.

But sometimes I switch it up.

And that can be fun too.

I have never heard of Plexus.

Until last week and a friend shared something about it on her Facebook page.  And she asked if anyone wanted to volunteer to try a seven day sample of something they call their “pink drink”.

Maybe it was the late hour.  Maybe it was curiosity.  Maybe it was my fingers just typing away without my knowledge.

I don’t know.

But I volunteered to give it a go.

And then I figured I’d write about it too.

As of this very moment, you now know everything about Plexus that I know.

(You probably already know more than I do, actually.)

Today I will consume my first “pink drink” after lunch.  Supposedly it will help increase my energy levels.  I’m all for that.

My plan is to follow their directions, to learn more about what it is I am consuming and why they say it matters and then to just do what they say for seven days and see if I notice any difference.

And, yes, of course, tell you guys all about it.

I don’t want to write a post every day about it so I am planning to just write notes to myself each night and then compile them together in an official post after seven days.

Feel free to share your thoughts and ideas – or any other products you think I should review for your benefit.
