Happiest of Birthdays my Little Piper Finn

You guys.

Despite our absolutely telling her to stop – this kid of ours named Piper Finnian Willow Lacey has been growing up.

I can't stand it.

Right before our eyes.

It hurts my heart, I tell you.

Hurts my heart something fierce.

She is SEVEN.

I know it’s the lament of every parent at every birthday.

But I just can’t believe how quickly these years keep piling up.

I was going to spend this post writing sweet things about my girl.

But I got distracted when I typed her name in my “search” button and began reading the snippets of her life from this blog.

She is so funny.  Always has been.

And so very full of energy and quirky humor and show-stealing one-liners.

Piper Finn was born on my mother’s birthday and they share a few similar traits.  She wants to make people happy.  She delights in making others tiny treats and little surprises and hugs and offering foot rubs and back scratches.  She carries a lot of secret fears around on her tiny shoulders and she doesn’t care for the dark or being alone or being left out of activities.

She is a fabulous little human.  I am honored to be her momma.

This kid took years to grow any real hair on her miniature head.

You know, I could ramble on.  And on.

But it’s already late and I’d rather just show you a series of too hilarious photos of my little girl Willow from her sweet and precious life.
