Field Trip,  Prairie Primer Year

What The Road Will Look Like From Here.

Because I like a plan.

Because I’m a faithful fan of expressed expectations.

Because I just really feel like it ….

This guy likes to hide when the camera comes out these days.

I want to tell you my basic idea for this blog space whilst our family is on the road during the next two weeks.

Tomorrow we hit the pavement for our much-anticipated-by-our-own-family Prairie Adventure.

We’re certainly not traveling to excessively remote locations.  I imagine internet connection will be accessible everywhere our roads lead us.

However.

I am only bringing my cellular device to serve as my “computer”.  Which means I do have the ability to type a blog post on its tiny keyboard.  Which I will.

I will type simple blog posts with some general regularity.

I cannot easily add multiple photographs nor can I painlessly include links to specific locations.

But I can give you a tad of this and that.

(I’m not truly implying that such things are impossible through a phone.  I am stating that they are more difficult and do not come readily to my not-entirely-tech-advanced self therefore I will not be achieving them.)

Think of it as an appetizer.

I’ll also be bringing my regular larger-than-a-cell-phone camera with us.  (I hope I can recall how to use that thing again.)  When I return and can wade through those (hopefully) better photographs I will post more thorough stories about the various Laura Ingalls Wilder destinations.

Look at these two!

This is my chosen method of recording primarily because I want to both document and share our Little House Adventure.  I also will be documenting specific locations because several of our stops include tours or tickets our family has received at a discounted rate or in exchange for a review here on the blog.  And I want to give these generous businesses a fair opportunity and a full exchange.  (To be transparent, the arrangement is thus — tickets in exchange for a review.  As simple as that.  Not a positive-only review, simply an honest review.  All opinions get to be entirely my own.  You know – because that’s how I prefer it.)

Phew.

Now you know what to expect and I feel loads better.

Thank you guys for joining us and reading the tidbits and the flurry of pictures and travel news as we take on a couple of thousand miles and a trip I hope our kids will recall with fondness for their entire lives.
