What King Solomon Sees

Sometimes I use King Solomon more as a camera than a phone.

It’s so much tinier and more portable than my regular camera and its multiple lenses.

And sometimes King Solomon sees so much more than I ever have opportunity to share on this blog.

So I decided to change that.

By stealing an idea from my friend Tyler.

Who knows, maybe he stole his idea from someone else too.

There’s nothing new under the sun.

And now you too shall see what King Solomon has seen over the past several days.

A mini eagle has joined the flock.

(What do you call a group of eagles?  Do eagles ever travel in groups?)

I don’t know.

I just know it was too cute not to buy on our recent Pisgah trip.

Who knew these things would be so tasty and convenient?

Glad Emma introduced them to our world at our last picnic together.

Piper Finn enjoyed her first official sleepover with a girl her age.

Gillian and Piper were hysterically funny in that super-adorable way that only tiny little people can be.

They stayed in their bed for hours applying pretend make-up from an empty brush onto one another’s cheeks and eyelids.

A day time date.

An entire Saturday afternoon to stroll through the quirky Asheville streets.

(Thank you Erin and Landon and Riley.  Thank you.)

Cute shops.  Amazing bookstore.  New rain boots.

The discovery of both Urban Outfitters and Lululemon.

Shamefully good chocolate creme brule at a Chocolate Lounge.

(Yeah – a lounge for chocolate.)

A product I cannot believe even exists.

Of course we know it’s artificial, guys.

Hey consumers – stop buying this stuff and let Jimmy Dean produce something genuine.

A special treat for the kids at lunch today.

Refreshing cucumber water.

Served in a crystal vase wedding present.

A beverage you should absolutely try.

Did you guys go to the Battery Park (or street?) Book Exchange? Coolest ever! That's where we went when you guys were keeping our kidlets!

      Because you guys suggested it.
      And it was amazing.
I plan to spend so much more time there.
