Love And Do Not Love: A List

Any given day has its highs and its lows.

Any given person has their loves and their not-so loves.

We can all agree upon that – right?

Take today, for instance.

I really love

whoopie pies.

And I love that our vacation begins this Wednesday.

I do not love hearing my name called as if it really is on some horrible loop.

“MommyMommyMommyMommyMommyMommyMommyMommy.”

I love King Solomon’s current background.

I do not love white icing from the inside of whoopie pies smeared on the leather sofa.

I love sitting up far too late into the evening and talking about life with Sarah.

I love Aunt Sarah stopping in for a visit and beginning to show London how to crochet.

I love the absolutely adorable headbands Sarah made for the girls.

I love that when Mosely adds the headband to her own outfit she wears it in a fashion that makes her resemble a 1920’s flapper.

I love the fact that I can take a photo of whatever image is currently on my iPhone at any given moment.

I do not love seeing that the weather for every day of our upcoming outdoor, adventure-based, vacation is rain rain rain.  Repeated as if on some horrible loop.

I love Otto’s cute new shirt that says, “Yeti or not, here I come”.

I love that I bought the shirt for only $1.74 at Target.

I love how well Otto Fox Wilder did at his first-ever dentist appointment while wearing his cute new shirt.

I do not love that Mosely’s bathing suit shirt at Target cost $14 by itself.

I do not love that I must revisit the dentist this week for a child’s cavity to be filled.

I do not love that I must visit the dentist again next week for another child’s teeth to be sealed.

I love that these guys are currently enjoying their inaugural ManTrip 2011.

I love that I was able to talk to Berg on the phone tonight and hear about his adventures.

I love a list at its beginning.

And I love a list at its end.

    I LOVE lists . . . any kind of list. And I LOVE that your list made me laugh : ). Great pic of tiny little Otto looking small and overwhelmed in the dentist's chair. Priceless!

      I should surely be offering a prize of some sort to you.
      You are probably the first person to read any post of mine as I usually push "publish" sometime after midnight and I think you read around 1 a.m. my time.
      And that makes me happy somehow. To know I am not alone wide awake in a sleeping world.
      I cannot really explain where I found my background. From one of the many free apps I impulsively download while waiting in the car.
