Five Finds Friday (thirteen)

I kind of cannot believe I’ve been doing these little Friday features for this long.  I’m pretty sure I still like doing them.  Are you guys pretty sure you still like reading them?

FUNNY

Otto still has his blanket friend.  You know – Baby Timmy.

Uncle Douglas created a new way for Otto Fox to keep Baby Timmy close by.

(Maybe this should go under “fashion” instead of “funny”.)

(And.  You don’t have to tell me.  That blanket looks ….. gross too loved.)

FASHIONABLE

Have you ever heard of Title Nine?

I don’t know why their catalog appeared in my mail once upon a time.  But it did.  And I have been enjoying dreaming of owning their clothing for years now.

The prices are —- too high for me.

But I love to look at the styles and to wait for their sales and to dream about visiting one of their few retail shops one day.

Look at this dress.

Even London says it looks like a dress she would wear all day (on top of her jeans, of course).

I want to own a dress like this.  Just one.  And then I want to wear it every day over my leggings – probably my polka dot ones because they are my favorite.  With my boots.  Of course.

FLAVORFUL

This recipe is fast and delicious.

And, for some reason, I feel sort of professional and stuff when I make this.

Parmesan Broiled Tilapia.

FAITHFUL

God’s perfect timing is so …. perfect.

Three times this week I have received a text or a message from someone letting me know that the timing of a specific blog post was right on time for them.  And they sent those messages right on time for me.

Isn’t that kind of God to love us well even in such seemingly simple ways?

(And – my friends – never ever ever underestimate the value of a simple compliment or a reassurance to a friend (or stranger).  If there’s a voice in your head that says “tell that person you like their haircut” or “just send a text saying what they did mattered to you” then by all meansdo that thing.)

FEELS

One evening this week I had to run an errand.

I asked all of the kids at our house (which is currently a whopping total of eight) who wanted to ride with me.

Every child who shares my last name said nothing.

But two little New Zealand voices spoke up.

Two quiet little girls who I’ve been trying to win over.

“I want to go,” they both said.

Success!

Maybe they like their Aunt Lacey after all.

I like reading them, even though I rarely respond. 🙂

That dress looks like the clothing version of comfort food, like the go-to dress when you just need warmth and a hug. Like sweatpants and sweatshirts except it actually looks nice too! Definitely a winner.

I need to try the fish recipe. We love fish and do not eat enough art his house. I wish I knew a cost effective place to buy good fish….
